Nicole SimmonsNicole Simmons is the director of digital and teams for Wicked Local, a network of more than 100 websites and newspapers throughout Eastern Mass., the North Shore, South Coast and the Cape. Simmons has worked for GateHouse Media for almost 20 years, as a reporter, paginator and various editor roles. She has helped the Massachusetts weekly and daily newspapers pivot from a print-first culture to digital-first, developing ways to produce and distribute news on all the platforms readers use. She has also helped figure out and train others on various multimedia and digital layers that supplement articles to help tell a complete story. Simmons grew up in Springfield, Mass. and from UMass Amherst with a journalism degree.
Tim Estiloz is a Two-Time Emmy award winning television journalist with over 20 years of experience in the news and entertainment programming broadcast industry in both radio and television. He is currently a freelance US-based reporter / producer for ITN TV Productions based in London and the East Coast entertainment / celebrity interview correspondent for "The Spiel" lifestyle program for KBSI-TV Fox 23 in southern Illinois. He also is a film critic for Kaleidoscope Reviews online and a member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association.
Tim began his career as a writer/production assistant at KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh and later, as a news update anchor, program host and producer at WHLL-TV 27 in Worcester. His resume also includes serving as a general assignment reporter, host and fill-in anchor at WLVI-TV 56 in Boston, freelance reporting for E! Entertainment Television, a national correspondent for the entertainment magazine TV program “Real Life” for NBC daytime network programming, New Hampshire Public Television’s "Granite State Challenge” program TV - and, six amazingly satisfying years as an entertainment reporter and program host for Comcast CN8, most notably as a reporter for the nightly “live” entertainment news program, “Backstage” hosted by Sara Edwards. He also devotes time as an “Artist-In-Residence” at Boston Children’s Hospital, creating cartoon art to entertain the young patients at their bedside - and is a published children’s book illustrator. |
Larry LawsonLarry Lawson is an industry leader with concentrated experience in network and cable television production that includes live studio, news, taped elements, and feature productions. He has a broad knowledge in various facets of news programming including general news, sports and entertainment.
Highly accomplished and composed with a solid reputation within the television industry, Lawson has the ability to manage at all layers of production. He has the experience of working closely with his peers and superiors while motivating and developing staff members. Currently, Larry is the Director of News and Coordinating Producer at NESN where he oversees hyper-local sports news and information productions and programs. Lawson is also responsible for managing and developing the editorial personnel for the network including on-air talent. Before NESN, Larry worked and initiated many production projects at CBS News, CNN, ESPN, and BET covering a wide range of world news, sports, and entertainment stories. Peter RhodesPeter Rhodes is a veteran editor who was trained at the BBC in London. He works in a broad variety of styles, ranging from cinema verité to historic re-creations to children’s films and museum installations.
Since moving to the United States in 1986 he has accumulated more than 50 credits for films that have appeared on PBS, the BBC and at major film festivals. His most recent work includes Breakthrough which just premiered at South By SouthWest; Poetry In America for WGBH and Edgar Allan Poe: Buried Alive, which aired on American Masters PBS; The Year We Thought About Love, which won awards at several festivals throught the US; Latino Americans for PBS, which won a Peabody Award in 2012; The Last Mountain, which was an Official Selection at Sundance 2011 and winner of the IDA Pare Lorentz award; The Price of Sugar, which won the Audience Award at South by Southwest Film Festival and was short-listed for an Academy Award; and Harvest of Fear, a Frontline/NOVA co-production which won a duPont-Columbia award. Whilst at the BBC in 1984 he was nominated for a British Academy award for best sound-editing. Jonathan LipsyJonathan is the Sales Manager and Lighting Specialist at Integrated Solutions Group. Specializing in Energy Efficient lighting systems, Jonathan understands the demands and requirements of the television industry. He has been designing and installing lighting systems for the broadcast industry for over 20 years and has a very clear vision for his customers on Studio Infrastructure, Lighting and Dimming Systems, Curtain Packages and Power Distribution. He teams with his customers to support their goals bringing his knowledge and experience to each and every project.
Jonathan received his Bachelor's Degree from Hofstra University in New York where he majored in Marketing and Photography. He began his career as a commercial photographer in New York City where he learned lighting techniques using photographic strobes, Tungsten and HMI lighting. In 1990, Jonathan realized his passion for lighting and moved to Boston where he sold and installed lighting systems for NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, ESPN, NECN and a multitude of Universities and Community Access Centers throughout New England and New York State. With well over 200 studio designs credited to his name, Jonathan is able to give to each of his customers and their projects the innovative and creative solutions to best suit their needs. Jonathan is a consistent contributor to ISG’s Solution Seminar programs where he educates customers on all forms of lighting and studio infrastructure for the Broadcast industry. |
